The Amy Bennett Foundation

Welcome to The Amy Bennett Foundation, a commemorative and fundraising website for Amy's passion for the arts. The world lost a beautiful soul on September 8th, 2014, one that will never be forgotten and one that always lived life the fullest each and every day.

Dramatic Education

From a young age Amy showed immense talent as a singer, dancer and actress. Performances at Gavilan Peak Elementary, Boulder Creek High School, and Starlight Community Theater, the nonprofit co-founded by her Mother, provided her dramatic start. At the University of Northern Colorado, she perfected her gifts; graduating with highest distinction in Musical Theater. Finally, in early 2014, she indeed realized her life-long dream, moving to New York City to audition as a Broadway actress. Amy spent her last summer working at the Jackson Hole Playhouse . Her full dramatic resume, with many more photos, can be viewed on the website she designed,

About the Foundation

The Amy Bennett Foundation Inc., a 501(c)3 tax-deductible non-profit, was founded in late 2014 and continues Amy's dreams beyond her passing. As Amy was killed in tragic circumstances, in a collision with a truck as she biked to her work at the Playhouse in Jackson, WY, our organization lends its support to biker protection advocacy, as already achieved in Wyoming. We are also spreading Amy's joy for the arts and theater, through scholarship funds that enrich the lives of youth and college performers; already Starlight , where Amy got her start, UNC's Musical Theater Program, and via the Educational Theater Association, we directly support AZ State Thespians and the International Thespian Society. To see the latest news about the foundation, more, you can visit our Facebook page supporters and please also subscribe to our newletter at the bottom of the page. We send out annual and semi-annual updates!

Amy's Life

Beyond her dramatic achievements and tragic passing, Amy lived a life governed by a simple principle: Love. There is no set of pictures or words that could possibly capture how much Amy influenced us all, brought light and sunshine into our lives, and challenged us to be our higher selves; but in the pictures and quotations below, you can see just a tiny preview. It is in the spirit of generosity, kindess, and a life well-lived that we christen this page, and this fund.

Many beautiful stories and pictures of Amy's life have been shared on her Facebook Page. Here are some of the most beautiful quotations she shared with us:

"We all are unique in the love we can give & we all provide it differently. No one can love the world the way you do. No one can love your heart the way you do. Its as if the color you offer to yourself and others is a color within the spectrum of al colors that no other heart contains. Like a frequency of notes in a melody that only your heart can manufacture. Most things that are worthwhile require effort. Put forth as much effort as you can to love yourself & others." - Amy Bennett

"Keep reminding yourself this...Everything is exactly how it should be. Its all about the discoveries, growth, decisions, hardships and successes along the way that make our lives even more fulfilling and beautiful in the end. Love yourself first and do what brings you joy. You only get to live once so LIVE IT!" -Amy Bennett

"If your dreams and goals don’t scare you; they aren’t big enough. Use your gifts and the strength that God gave you to bring love and joy to this world. It might sound cliché but in these rough times we must simply follow our hearts and remember Who We Are." -Amy Bennett

"Things won’t always turn out as you hoped or planned; but if you seize opportunities, act diligently and fairly, and show goodwill towards others, you’ll enjoy a full, rich life, unburdened by regrets." -Amy Bennett
